After missing out on edge rushers early in the draft, the Saints signed veteran Chris Rumph II to a one-year deal Monday. Rumph previously played for Saints new DC Brandon Staley with the Chargers, who drafted him in the fourth round in Staley’s first year as head coach in 2021.
Rumph (6-2, 244) has played in 37 games with three sacks, 29 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. He spent all of last year on IR with a foot injury.
