Information you provide

  • Account information: Email address, username, display name, and password when you create an account.
  • Payment information: Billing details when you purchase a subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe — we do not store your full card number.
  • Profile information: Avatar, bio, and other optional profile fields you choose to fill in.
  • User content: Comments, posts, and other content you submit to the Site.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with content.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies and local storage: We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze site usage.
  • Push notification tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store a device-specific token to deliver notifications to your device.
  • Offline article data: The iOS app may store articles locally on your device for offline reading. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

iOS app permissions

The iOS app may request the following device permissions:

  • Push notifications: To deliver breaking news alerts and new article notifications.
  • Speech recognition: Used exclusively for voice-activated player selection during CarPlay mock drafts. Audio is processed by Apple's on-device speech recognition and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by us.
  • Microphone: Required by iOS for speech recognition during CarPlay mock drafts. We do not record or store any audio.

Information from third parties

  • Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google.
  • Stripe: We receive confirmation of successful payments and subscription status from Stripe.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process subscription payments and maintain your subscription status
  • To deliver content, features, and tools appropriate to your subscription tier
  • To provide CarPlay integration for listening to articles while driving
  • To enable iMessage extensions such as the mock draft game
  • To cache articles for offline reading on your device
  • To send push notifications you have opted into
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account notices)
  • To moderate community content and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To analyze usage and improve the Site
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), Neon (database), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), and ElevenLabs (text-to-speech for CarPlay article narration). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: If New Orleans Football, Inc. is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes. Comments and community posts may remain visible in anonymized form.

6. Your Choices

  • Push notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time from your dashboard settings or your device/browser settings.
  • Email communications: You can opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe link in any email. Transactional emails (receipts, account notices) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
  • Account deletion: You can request deletion of your account by contacting us at nof@neworleans.football.
  • Cookies: You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features of the Site may not work correctly without them.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., YouTube, Twitter/X, ESPN). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
