Here are the things you need to know coming out of Tuesday’s minicamp practice:

- Marshon Lattimore and Alvin Kamara returned to the team today after missing OTAs.

-Chris Olave practiced in a non-contact red jersey again during the 7-on-7 and team drills.

Post-Practice Headlines

Some quick hitters from interview sessions to get you up to speed:

Dennis Allen's key points

-Was pleased to have Lattimore and Kamara back but wanted to watch the tape before evaluating where they’re at. “I thought he looked explosive,” Allen said of Kamara.

-Ryan Ramczyk is working out away from the team, and the progress isn’t where the team wants it to be. It sounds like there is no return in sight. “I would say it’s not trending in either way right now in terms of the progress. I wouldn’t say there’s much change since the last time we discussed it,” Allen said.

-McKinstry is getting close to returning. “My expectation is that he will be ready to go for training camp,” Allen said.

The coach expects McKinstry to compete at both inside and outside cornerback.

“I see him competing in that spot (slot) along with the outside corner position,” Allen said. “I don’t really see anybody being just a nickel only. I see that position being a dual position player, so whether it's nickel safety, nickel corner we don’t have anybody on our team that’s a nickel only.”

Chase Young will meet with Dr. Robert Watkins this week for a check-up

The defensive end said there is no definite timeline for his return.

“I feel fine, I just ran 10 50s,” Young said. “I’m getting back in shape, getting in the weight room about to get strong again.”

Darren Rizzi is cooking up a plan to take advantage of the new return rules

Rizzi said we might even see star players used as returners since the play is going to be safer.

“I think with the way the new rule is because it’s lowered the injury risk, it’s essentially become the first play of offense and the first play of defense,” Rizzi said. “I think your whole roster is

Locker Room Availability Headlines

- Marshon Lattimore acknowledged that there were some tensions between him and the team, but has no ill will about the team exploring his trade options.

“It is what it is, everybody knows when they come here what can happen,” Lattimore said. “I've been hurt for two years so I understand. People probably don't think I'm the same type of player, all I have to do is prove to people that I am. So, it really falls on me, to be honest.”

Lattimore said that he’s embracing being a vet and looks forward to helping out his younger teammates, like McKinstry.

“That’s what I’m here for, I have to be that older big homie type of role,” Lattimore said. “I like that role, if I’m not out there I’m helping, whoever needs help on the DB side I’ll help for sure.”

Trip hit on a lot of what Lattimore said in his story.

-Kamara returned to practice and said he’s excited about the new offense.

“I’ve been in contact with Klint (Kubiak), I’ve been in contact with guys,” Kamara said. “I have a playbook, I have an iPad so it’s fine. It’s different when you go do it. I’ve never really been a paper guy, I like getting in there and getting in the action and doing it. Nothing has changed from what I've been doing the past couple of years.”

Nick had more on Kamara.

Saints news as it breaks.

The whole point of following a team is knowing what's happening. Set it up once and stop missing things.
