The countdown on Michael Thomas’ return to action has turned into people trying to count down the money remaining on his contract if he never plays for the Saints again.
Such questions are premature, but the Saints and Thomas are clearly at odds with one another. While that doesn’t mean the situation won’t eventually get resolved, it does mean that the relationship between these two parties needs to get monitored and the current tensions taken seriously. It is now time to prepare for all scenarios and understand why this situation is tenuous.
