Saints' defense looks Super Bowl ready, and the offense is just getting started (Analysis)

The Saints can win the Super Bowl.

The defense is good enough to keep them in any game, and it will suffocate those it is supposed to suffocate – most of the time, at least. Sunday’s 21-3 -- pardon me -- 21-9 victory of the Bears proved that. There weren’t any turnovers or many sacks. New Orleans simply outmatched a lesser opponent and won through solid fundamentals.

This defense cemented their place among the league’s elite during the Kansas City game. They’ve become so good that it might not be a stretch to say that if the Saints end up winning their last game of the season, it will be because this group got them there and stood strong in the previous game. This team is no longer built to where it has to win on Drew Brees’ arm.
