With offensive line coaches Brendan Nugent and Zach Strief, Saints have the best of both worlds on coaching staff

Voices are good when they're coming from the right places.

The Saints have never been afraid of bringing in more opinions and more perspectives, and they often try to have two strong voices in the areas where it makes sense. The team has sought to have multiple strong voices whether it be in the secondary, special teams or the offensive line over the years.

Brendan Nugent is used to this approach. He's been helping lead offensive line meetings for the last few years, serving as Dan Roushar's consigliere until Roushar moved over to tight ends coach. The two coaches took turns speaking and sharing their perspectives, knowing that hearing things from different voices could keep the message fresh. They also both knew that having more sets of eyes meant that the players would be better coached.
