Payton Turner could convince you that he’s ready to dominate the world.
His performance against Tulane last season plays almost like a highlight tape. Play after play, he’s in the backfield hitting quarterbacks and stuffing runs. Turner played 50 snaps, had two sacks, three quarterback hits and five tackles for a loss. The domination is almost comical.
It also probably isn’t real – at least not in the sense where you can look at that game and make a projection on what he will be as an NFL player. There are other moments, many of which are good, some against better competition. Figuring out what Turner will be and how his talents will translate is challenging to figure out. But there is enough on his film to get an idea of who he is and the things that he is capable of doing.
