Stafford trade shows Jameis Winston might be the most realistic choice at quarterback for the Saints

The Saints might have to prove they stole another quarterback. 

Always better to be doing the taking when you don't have to give anything up. With Matthew Stafford getting traded to the Rams and the trade compensation for starting quarterbacks through the roof, keeping Jameis Winston now appears to be of vital importance.

Being realistic, that move was likely always near the top of the to-do list. There will be a price on Winston the team will not exceed, which is how they always negotiate, but the Saints believe in him and want him back on the team. Sean Payton has been telling us that all along.
