Inside Jameis Winston’s summer passing camps with Saints teammates

The passes are flying deep down the field and with velocity. Jameis Winston has always had a big arm. He showed it during the playoffs last year by throwing a bomb with a flick of the wrist and used it to average nearly a strikeout per inning during his final season playing baseball at Florida State. In this context, it still feels new and different. For the last few years, Saints receivers have gotten used to running decoy routes or worrying about outrunning their quarterback’s arm. But on these practice fields in Florida, California, or wherever else they've gathered this offseason, that hasn't seemed possible with Winston throwing the passes. Winston knows this, and he's given his receivers a rule for playing alongside him.
