A scary thought: Saints might be the NFL’s best team, and offense still hasn’t fully clicked

The following two statements should strike fear in the rest of the NFL. First one: The Saints average 28.9 points per game, which ranks fifth in the NFL. They’re less than three points per game off of the league lead. The second statement: Drew Brees and Michael Thomas have only played 10 quarters together this season. New Orleans is the best team in the NFC and two of its best players have barely played together this season. The Saints are dominating many of their opponents and haven’t even hit their stride. And this is just the most extreme and obvious example of a potential growth area. There are many areas the Saints could improve in down the stretch and become even better before the playoffs.
