Despite what you’ve heard from national pundits and people covering teams in other states, the Saints aren’t going to have to trade away their whole roster and put Gumbo up for sale to pay their bills.
There will be some pain as the team sheds some salary to get under the cap, but it shouldn’t overly impact New Orleans’ ability to compete. Still, there will be a need for some guys to step up and take the next step in their development.
